Biography | Liang Jiamin

Born in Chongqing in 2001,  Liang Jiamin is a visionary voice among the new generation of Chinese contemporary artists. A graduate of the prestigious Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SCFAI), Liang has dedicated his practice to the convergence of ancient philosophy and the raw, textural power of Iwa-enogu (mineral pigments).

Artistic Vision: The New Eastern Symbolism

Liang’s work is a profound exploration of "New Eastern Aesthetics." At the heart of his practice lies the I-Ching (The Book of Changes)—not merely as a historical text, but as a living, breathing system of symbols that decode the universe's hidden rhythms. Through a masterful manipulation of mineral pigments, Liang bridges the gap between the natural world and human consciousness.

His paintings are characterised by a unique atmospheric tension. By integrating the organic, granular nature of earth-derived minerals with a structured, symbolic visual language, Liang creates a sanctuary where the weight of the past meets the fluidity of the present. His compositions are an invitation to silence—a space to listen to the "breath" of the earth and the whispers of ancient hexagrams.

Rising Recognition

As a multi-award-winning talent during his academic tenure at SCFAI, Liang’s work has been featured in several prominent exhibitions, including the 8th Chongqing Art Exhibition and the 25th Annual Undergraduate Exhibition of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

Liang Jiamin’s creations are more than decorative pieces; they are "Art with Identity." For the conscious seeker, his work offers a rare opportunity to collect a modern narrative rooted in thousands of years of wisdom, delivered through the tactile soul of the earth.
