Artwork & Quality
Why does the artwork look slightly different from what I see on my screen?
While we strive for absolute color accuracy, slight visual variations may occur between the physical print and your screen. This is due to differing brightness, contrast, and color calibration settings across various devices.
Furthermore, the interior mockups on our website are for illustrative purposes only. A unique charm of original art and professional Giclée prints is how they interact with their environment; the artwork will shift beautifully under different lighting conditions—such as warm ambient lamps or cool natural daylight.
What is a Giclée Print?
"Giclée" represents the gold standard in digital printing. It is far more than a mere "print"—it is a gallery-grade art reproduction. We collaborate closely with top-tier professional printing labs in London. We use fade-resistant, pigment-based inks on world-class, acid-free archival papers (such as Hahnemühle). This combination ensures that your artwork remains vibrant, without yellowing or becoming brittle, for decades. Each Giclée print precisely captures the texture, brushstrokes, and soul of the original work.
Is the artwork I purchased unique?
Absolutely. Every piece from Dotspace is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created by our represented artists and dotspace itself. There is no other like it in the world.
Is the artwork signed by the artist?
- Originals: These are hand-signed by the artist. Whenever possible, some artists will thoughtfully inscribe your name (or the name of a gift recipient) on the back of the piece, making it a truly personal memento.
- Limited Edition Prints: Since our artists are located across the globe, we use an official Certificate of Authenticity featuring the artist’s digital signature to ensure you receive your work as promptly as possible. Rest assured, every stamped certificate serves as an official gallery-certified proof of authenticity.
How do I choose the right size?
While the perfect size depends on your personal preference and space, here are our recommendations for common formats:
- A5 (14.8 × 21 cm): Delicate and refined. Ideal for desks, shelves, or as an accent in a gallery wall arrangement.
- A4 (21 × 29.7 cm): Versatile and classic. Perfect for bedside tables, home offices, or narrow wall spaces.
- A3 (29.7 × 42 cm): A true focal point. Displays beautifully in entryways, hallways, or above sideboards.
- A2 (42 × 59.4 cm): A statement piece. Designed for main walls in living rooms or bedrooms to instantly elevate the ambiance of the space.
Unless otherwise stated, the artwork shown in our interior mockups is typically [A3/A4] in size. You can use this as a visual benchmark for your own space.
