In this series, lines are liberated from the shackles of form, transforming into pure kinetic energy. The ink strokes act as musical notes on a staff—sometimes delicate as silk, other times as profound as tectonic shifts—weaving a tapestry of primal growth. Bai Yao is not painting flowers; he is painting the act of "becoming."
The colours recede into the background, supporting the vigorous lines with a moist, atmospheric presence. By harnessing the natural translucency of rice paper, the artist creates a sense of "respiration" akin to early spring mist.
