Inspired by the 40th hexagram of the I-Ching, "Xie" (Deliverance / Release), this work captures the electrifying moment when stagnation is shattered by decisive action.
In the symbology of the hexagram, "Water" represents lingering danger and obstacles, while "Thunder" signifies the primordial force that clears the air. Liang Jiamin translates this philosophical tension into a breathtaking visual narrative: to resolve a crisis, one must possess the courage to move through it.
A deep blue falcon is depicted at the heart of a tempest, its wings unfurled as it seemingly intercepts a jagged streak of lightning. The falcon represents the explosive "Power of Resolution"—the sudden clarity that arises when one ceases to hesitate. The artist reminds us that the window for deliverance is often fleeting; only those who combine icy composure with lightning-fast judgment can seize the moment of liberation.
Rendered on traditional Kumohada-mashi paper with rich mineral pigments, the work offers a tactile depth that mirrors the intensity of the storm. It is a powerful homage to the proactive spirit, celebrating the strength required to break through the darkness and reclaim the sky.
