Inspired by the 59th hexagram of the I-Ching, "Huan" (Wind-Water), this piece delves into the profound wisdom of the line: "Dissolving one’s self, leaving no regret." Liang Jiamin explores the concept of spiritual purification through the lens of Taoist philosophy. In this tradition, humans are beset by six desires—those of the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind. Liang symbolically manifests these "Six Desires" as six distinct animals weaving through the composition. The swirling elements of wind and water, intertwined with undulating aquatic plants, serve as a powerful metaphor for the turbulent thoughts and emotional fluctuations that cloud human consciousness.
At the absolute centre of this kinetic energy sits a crimson monkey, rendered in contemplative stillness. In Taoist symbolism, the monkey represents the "Heart-Mind" (Xin). By placing it in a state of quietude amidst the chaotic currents, Liang illustrates the moment of ultimate tranquility achieved once worldly desires are dispersed.
Through the masterful application of Iwa-enogu (mineral pigments), the artist creates a sense of depth that invites the viewer to look past the surface noise. This work is a visual meditation on the act of letting go, offering a sanctuary of peace for the modern soul seeking to rediscover its true essence.

While we strive for absolute color accuracy, slight visual variations may occur between the physical print and your screen. This is due to differing brightness, contrast, and color calibration settings across various devices.
Furthermore, the interior mockups on our website are for illustrative purposes only. A unique charm of original art and professional Giclée prints is how they interact with their environment; the artwork will shift beautifully under different lighting conditions—such as warm ambient lamps or cool natural daylight.
